LOS ANGELES, June 24 (UPI) -- A year after James Gandolfini's unexpected death, the actor's last film, The Drop, has unveiled its second promotional trailer.

The crime drama stars Tom Hardy as Bob Saginowski an ex-con who tries to stay out of trouble working as a bartender, but finds himself involved in a robbery gone awry. Gandolfini plays the main character's cousin, Marv, who is also dragged into the drama.

The Michaël R. Roskam-directed flick will be released on September 12.

The Drop is the last film completed by the Sopranos star before a heart attack took his life on June 19, 2013 in Italy. According to the actor's IMDb profile, Gandolfini will also appear in one episode of the television series Criminal Justice, which is set to be released sometime in 2014.
