LOS ANGELES, June 19 (UPI) -- A new Scooby-Doo reboot is currently in the works at Warner Bros.

According to Deadline, the studio is "starting from scratch," with screenwriter Randall Green to pen the script. Charles Roven, who produced the live-action Scooby-Doo in 2002, will return as producer. No casting decisions have been made.

Hanna-Barbera Productions debuted the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! television series in 1969. The program ran on CBS until 1975, and aired as The Scooby-Doo Show from 1976-1993 on ABC. The show inspired several animated films, and Warner Bros. released the live-action feature film and its sequels.

Scooby-Doo (2002) starred Freddy Prinze, Jr. as Fred, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Daphne, Matthew Lillard as Shaggy and Linda Cardellini as Velma. The movie grossed $268 million worldwide.
