LOS ANGELES, June 3 (UPI) -- Paramount Pictures has released a new trailer for Hercules.
Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, stars as the title character, and the preview focuses on the film's theme of revenge.

The new movie sees the hero on the path to revenge after dark gods kill his wife and children. The story varies from the original Greek myth, which relates that Hercules himself was responsible for the murders. He was assigned Twelve Labours to atone for the crime, some of which are depicted in the preview.
Hercules is scheduled for release July 25. The movie was directed by Brett Ratner (Rush Hour, X-Men: The Last Stand), and also stars John Hurt, Ian McShane and Joseph Fiennes.
