LOS ANGELES, June 2 (UPI) -- Adam Levine showcased his new song Lost Stars for the upcoming movie Begin Again about a young singer-songwriter trying to begin her career in the city.
Levine plays Dave, a musician who is the long-time boyfriend and writing partner of Gretta (Keira Knightley). After Dave lands a major record deal, he dumps Gretta who is found singing about her problems in a New York City bar by a disgraced music executive named Dan (Mark Ruffalo).

The two then plan to launch Gretta's career as they create and play music across the city.
The film is directed by John Carney who directed the musical movie Once. The film is due in select theaters June 27.
