Christina Ricci is pregnant with her first child

LOS ANGELES, May 26 (UPI) -- Christina Ricci's representative has confirmed the actress is pregnant with her first child.

There was no word on the baby's gender or anticipated birth date, however.

Ricci married James Heerdegen last fall. Heerdegen was a crew member on Ricci's TV show, Pan Am, which was quickly canceled in 2011.

The 34-year-old actress started her career as a child in the films Mermaids, The Addams Family and Casper. She was recently seen playing the title character in the TV movie, Lizzie Borden Took an Ax.
