'Foxcatcher' premiered Monday at Cannes

The Bennett Miller-directed film stars Chaning Tatum as Mark Schultz, Steve Carell as John du Pont and Mark Ruffalo as David Schultz.

CANNES, France, May 19 (UPI) -- Foxcatcher, a biopic about Olympic wrestling champion Mark Schultz, premiered Monday at the Cannes Film Festival to rave reviews and a few Oscar predictions.

The Bennett Miller-directed film stars Channing Tatum as Schultz, Steve Carell as John du Pont and Mark Ruffalo as David Schultz.

The psychological thriller tells the "true story of Olympic wrestling champion Mark Schultz who decides to get justice after schizophrenic John duPont killed his brother, Olympic champion Dave Schultz."
