Matthew McConaughey tries to save the world in new 'Interstellar' trailer

LOS ANGELES, May 16 (UPI) -- The trailer for Christopher Nolan's upcoming film Interstellar premiered online Friday showing Matthew McConaughey racing to save the world from starvation.

The trailer shows McConaughey's character's journey as he and a group of explorers try to go beyond the limitations of human space travel to find a new planet that can sustain life after the Earth runs out of food.

The all-star cast will include Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Casey Affleck, Ellen Burstyn, Wes Bentley, Mackenzie Foy, Bill Irwin, Topher Grace, David Oyelowo and John Lithgow.

The film is set to premiere in November 2014.
