LOS ANGELES, May 13 (UPI) -- Zack Snyder, the director of the as-yet-untitled Batman-Superman movie, tweeted a photo Tuesday of Ben Affleck as a brooding, bulked-up Batman, standing beside the Batmobile. He tweeted a glimpse of the Batmobile, which was largely covered with a tarp, on Monday.

Henry Cavill will reprise his Man of Steel role of Superman in the 2016 movie, while Jesse Eisenberg will play Lex Luthor.

Snyder told UPI in a February phone interview he is confident in his casting of Affleck and Eisenberg and not bothered by the backlash his choices have received from some naysayers on the Internet.

"I think I have a pretty healthy grasp on the talk-back on the Internet," the filmmaker said. "If we cast who the Internet wanted us to, it would be the most boring cast in history. The first person you think of is who they want."
