LOS ANGELES, May 6 (UPI) -- Susan Blakely has joined the cast of the independent feature Displacement, a quantum-time thriller now shooting in Los Angeles, Maderfilm Productions announced.

Co-starring Sarah Douglas, Christopher Backus and Courtney Hope, the film is about a young physics student who must find a way to reverse a deadly quantum-time anomaly and solve the murder of her boyfriend.

With writer-director Kenneth Mader at the helm, principal photography is nearing completion.

Maderfilm said it is now seeking finishing funds via an online crowd-funding campaign, as well as private equity partners through the Slated.com platform.

Displacement is scheduled to premiere in festivals early next year, the company said.
