LOS ANGELES, April 22 (UPI) -- Director Richard Donner divulged more secrets regarding the upcoming Goonies sequel while being stalked by TMZ on Easter Sunday.

When photographers caught up with 83-year-old director and pressed for details about the movie, Donner said that "Spielberg came up with the idea of doing a sequel after 30 years."

"And then he came up with another story line and he's right on," Donner added.

Asked if he thought original cast members Josh Brolin and the rest of the gang would be returning for The Goonies 2, Donner said it was "up to them."

"If they have any sense they will and if they don't they won't," he continued.

Donner's remarks come almost three weeks after the director broke the news about the anticipated sequel.

The Goonies, a movie about a group of young kids on a fantastical adventure, came out in 1985 and starred Corey Feldman, Sean Astin, Jeff Cohen, Jonathan Ke Quan, Kerri Green, Martha Plimpton, and Brolin.
