LOS ANGELES, April 18 (UPI) -- Just weeks after 12 Years a Slave was named Best Picture at the Oscars, Hollywood's Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced key dates for its 2015 edition of the competition.

Nominations for the prizes -- which honor the previous year's best in film -- will be announced Jan. 15, and a luncheon for the nominees will be held Feb. 2.

The awards will be handed out Feb. 22 in a star-studded ceremony at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood. The glitzy affair will be televised live on ABC.

No host has been announced for the event yet. Ellen DeGeneres served as this year's emcee, which took place March 2 and saw Matthew McConaughey and Cate Blanchett crowned Best Actor and Actress.
