LOS ANGELES, April 16 (UPI) -- X-Men: Days of Future Past has released a third and final official trailer ahead of its release in May.

Actor Hugh Jackman takes center stage as Wolverine in the new preview. The clip emphasizes the movie's time-bending plot as Wolverine interacts with past and present versions of various X-Men characters.

The upcoming film will see the characters unite with their younger selves in a fight for survival across two periods of time.
