NEW YORK, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Bradley Cooper's publicist has confirmed to EW the two-time Oscar nominee will star in a Broadway revival of Bernard Pomerance's "The Elephant Man."

Cooper previously played the role of the deformed protagonist John Merrick at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in 2012.

No other information regarding the Broadway staging -- such as who else will be in the cast or when the show will run -- was immediately available.

Cooper's last appearance on the Great White Way was in 2006, opposite Julia Roberts and Paul Rudd in "Three Days of Rain."
