'Wolverine' tops the U.S. DVD and Blu-ray sales chart

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 16 (UPI) -- "The Wolverine," starring Hugh Jackman, is the top-selling DVD and Blu-ray in the United States, Rentrak announced Monday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the sales roster for the week ending Dec. 8 is "The Smurfs 2," followed by "Disney's Planes" at No. 3, "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" at No. 4 and "Red 2" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are "Turbo" at No. 6, "Monsters University" at No. 7, "Breaking Bad: The Complete Series" at No. 8, "Man of Steel" at No. 9 and "Bond 50: Celebrating Five Decades" at No. 10.

The No. 1 DVD and Blu-ray rental for the week ending Dec. 7 is "Red 2."

"The Heat" is No. 2, "The Internship" is No. 3, "White House Down" is No. 4, "R.I.P.D." is No. 5, "Grown Ups 2" is No. 6, "Pacific Rim" is No. 7, "Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" is No. 8, "Planes" is No. 9 and "The Smurfs 2" is No. 10.
