BERLIN, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- British director Ken Loach is to be presented with an honorary Golden Bear Award for career achievement at the 64th Berlin Film Festival, organizers announced.

Festival director Dieter Kosslick described Loach as "one of Europe's great directors."

Loach's other credits include "Cathy Come Home," "Land and Freedom," "My Name Is Joe," "Bread and Roses," "The Wind That Shakes the Barley," "Looking For Eric" and "The Angel's Share."
