LOS ANGELES, July 29 (UPI) -- The big-screen dramas "Prisoners" and "Gravity" have been added to the lineup of September's Toronto International Film Festival, Warner Bros. announced.

Helmed by Denis Villeneuve, "Prisoners" stars Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano, Maria Bello, Viola Davis, Terrence Howard and Melissa Leo.

"Keller Dover is facing every parent's worst nightmare. His 6-year-old daughter, Anna, is missing, together with her young friend, Joy, and as minutes turn to hours, panic sets in," a synopsis said. "The only lead is a dilapidated RV that had earlier been parked on their street. Heading the investigation, Detective Loki arrests its driver, Alex Jones, but a lack of evidence forces the only suspect's release. Knowing his child's life is at stake, the frantic Dover decides he has no choice but to take matters into his own hands."

The film will premiere at the festival Sept. 6. It is

set for theatrical release Sept. 20.

Warner Bros. describes filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron's "Gravity" as "a heart-pounding thriller that pulls you into the infinite and unforgiving realm of deep space."

In it, Sandra Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, "a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky," played by George Clooney.

"But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes," a synopsis said. "The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone -- tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness."

"Gravity" will have its North American premiere at the TIFF Sept. 8. It will hit theaters Oct. 4.
