'Jack the Giant Killer' tops DVD sales chart

LOS ANGELES, July 1 (UPI) -- The family adventure "Jack the Giant Slayer" is the top-selling DVD and Blu-ray in the United States, Rentrak reported Monday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the sales roster for the week ended June 23 is "Oz the Great and Powerful," followed by "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters" at No. 3, "Identity Thief" at No. 4 and "Snitch" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are "A Good Day to Die Hard" at No. 6, "21 and Over" at No. 7, "Warm Bodies" at No. 8, "Escape From Planet Earth" at No. 9 and "Movie 43" at No. 10.

The No. 1 DVD and Blu-ray rental for the week ended June 22 is "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters."

"Oz the Great And Powerful" is No. 2, "Snitch" is No. 3, "Cloud Atlas" is No. 4, "Side Effects" is No. 5, "Warm Bodies" is No. 6, "Escape From Planet Earth" is No. 7, "Mama" is No. 8, "Safe Haven" is No. 9 and "Beautiful Creatures" is No. 10.
