'Blue is the Warmest Color' wins top prize at Cannes

CANNES, France, May 27 (UPI) -- Tunisian director Abdellatif Kechiche's lesbian love story "Blue is the Warmest Color" has won the Palme d'Or at France's Cannes Film Festival.

Fraternal filmmakers Ethan and Joel Coen won the festival's Grand Prix runner-up prize for their folk music-themed drama "Inside Llewyn Davis."

French film star Berenice Bejo was named Best Actress for her role in "The Past" and Hollywood veteran Bruce Dern scored the Best Actor honor for his work in "Nebraska."
