NEW YORK, May 9 (UPI) -- Actress Gwyneth Paltrow says the gala at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art this week was so "un-fun," she plans to never attend the annual event again.

"I'm never going again," the 40-year-old Oscar winner told USA Today about Monday's star-studded Costume Institute Ball.

"It was so un-fun. It was boiling," she said. "I did not enjoy it at all."

The evening kicked off the museum's "PUNK: Chaos to Couture" exhibition, which will run from Thursday through Aug. 14.

Among the attendees at the gala were Beyonce, Madonna, Anne Hathaway, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Chris Martin, Jennifer Lawrence, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kirsten Dunst.
