LOS ANGELES, April 18 (UPI) -- "Star Wars" creator George Lucas plans to marry his longtime girlfriend Mellody Hobson at the Chicago Peninsula Hotel in June, The Hollywood Reporter said. The couple have been together since 2006.
Lucas confirmed in January his engagement to Hobson, who is head of the Chicago investment management firm Ariel Investments, a regular contributor on financial and economic issues for CBS News and chairman of the board for DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc.
New Jersey Sen. Bill Bradley is expected to walk the bride down the aisle at their June 29 wedding, The Hollywood Reporter said. The entertainment industry trade newspaper did not mention how the couple know Bradley.
This will be the first marriage for Hobson, 43, and the second for Lucas, 68. Lucas divorced his wife Marcia in 1983 after 14 years of marriage.
