GLENDALE, Calif., April 10 (UPI) -- Bryan Cranston, Mads Mikkelsen and Rebel Wilson have joined the voice cast of the animated feature "Kung Fu Panda 3," California's DreamWorks Animation said.

Due in theaters Dec. 23, 2015, the third installment in the animated film franchise will also feature vocal performances by "Kung Fu Panda" regulars Jack Black and Angelina Jolie.

"Kung Fu Panda 3" marks the first planned co-production with China-based Oriental DreamWorks and follows panda Po as he continues on his "journey mastering the art of Kung Fu and noodle slurping," DreamWorks said in a release Wednesday.

"Having the wonderful Jennifer Yuh Nelson return as director is incredibly exciting for the studio. Under her guidance I have no doubt that our returning cast and our outstanding new voice talent will take the franchise's story to the next level," DreamWorks Animation Chief Creative Officer Bill Damaschke said in a statement.
