'Lincoln' tops the DVD sales chart; 'Argo' is No. 1 rental

LOS ANGELES, April 8 (UPI) -- Steven Spielberg's big-screen history drama "Lincoln" is the top-selling DVD and Blu-ray in the United States, Rentrak announced Monday.

Daniel Day-Lewis won the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of the 16th American president in the movie.

Coming in at No. 2 on the DVD & Blu-ray sales chart for the week ending March 31 is "Les Miserables," followed by "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" at No. 3, "Rise of the Guardians" at No. 4 and "Wreck-It Ralph" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are "Parental Guidance" at No. 6, "Zero Dark Thirty" at No. 7, "Life of Pi" at No. 8, "This Is 40" at No. 9 and "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2" at No. 10.

The No. 1 DVD and Blu-ray rental for the week ended March 30 is "Argo," which won the Best Picture Oscar in February.

"Zero Dark Thirty" is No. 2, "Skyfall" is No. 3, "Rise of the Guardians" is No. 4, "Lincoln" is No. 5, "Wreck-It Ralph" is No. 6, "Killing Them Softly" is No. 7, "Taken 2" is No. 8, "Playing For Keeps" is No. 9 and "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2" is No. 10.
