Nominees Affleck, Chastain, Lawrence to be Oscar presenters

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Current Academy Award nominees Ben Affleck, Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Lawrence are to be presenters on the upcoming Oscar telecast in Los Angeles.

The announcement about their participation was made Thursday by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.

Affleck's "Argo," Chastain's "Zero Dark Thirty" and Lawrence's "Silver Linings Playbook" are up for the Best Picture Oscar. Chastain and Lawrence are also competing for the Best Actress prize.

Oscars for outstanding film achievements of 2012 are to be presented Feb. 24 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center.

Seth MacFarlane is to serve as host of the event, which will air live on ABC.
