LONDON, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- British actor Eddie Redmayne fell ill from food poisoning at the BAFTA Awards in London Sunday, UsMagazine.com reported.
Redmayne, 31, was at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts ceremony to support his movie musical "Les Miserables," which was nominated for Best British Film and eight other awards. It won in four categories, but lost the top prize to "Skyfall."
"Eddie has bad food poisoning. It was difficult for him to make it here today but he did his best," a source told the magazine. "After doing the carpet, he felt really sick again."
He was scheduled to present an award with "Lincoln" leading lady Sally Field, but backed out because he felt so sick, UsMagazine.com said.
"He is puking his guts out backstage," Field told the audience.
There was no word on what he ate.
