HOLLYWOOD, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- After a change in directors, casting talks have resumed for "This is Where I Leave You," a comedy starring Jason Bateman, The Hollywood Reporter said.

The adaptation of Jonathan Tropper's book of the same name was in the casting stages in May, with "Rock of Ages" director Adam Shankman helming the project and actors Bateman, Zac Efron, Leslie Mann, Goldie Hawn, Malin Akerman and Jason Sudeikis in talks to join the cast.

Shankman left the production and the project was put on hold until Shawn Levy took over in November.

The film focuses on a dysfunctional family that must spend seven days under one roof together at the dying request of Bateman's character's father.

Levy and Bateman are scheduled to begin testing new actresses beginning Monday, The Hollywood Reporter said Friday.

Ari Graynor, Isla Fisher, Zoe Saldana, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Kathryn Hahn will be auditioning.

Amy Adams is also under consideration, though she is not being asked to read for the part, report said.
