2012 Oscar winners Streep, Spencer to be presenters at this year's ceremony

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Last year's Oscar winners Meryl Streep, Jean Dujardin, Octavia Spencer and Christopher Plummer are to be presenters on this month's telecast, producers said.

"We are honored to have Meryl, Octavia, Christopher and Jean, last year's Oscar winners in each of the acting categories, return to the Oscar stage," producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said in a joint statement Tuesday.

Oscars for excellence in film for 2012 will be handed out at a ceremony Feb. 24 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Los Angeles.

Seth MacFarlane is to serve as host of the event.
