Awards were handed out Sunday in Los Angeles to nine production designers for their work on films and television, the ADG said in a release.

"Anna Karenina" production designer Sarah Greenwood won an award for best period film, while David Gropman, the production designer on "Life of Pi," won best fantasy film. Best production design on a contemporary film went to Dennis Gassner for "Skyfall."

The award ceremony was overseen by ADG Council Chair John Shaffner and hosted by Paula Poundstone.
