Tim Burton's 'Frankenweenie' tops DVD sales chart

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Director Tim Burton's animated family flick "Frankenweenie" is the top-selling DVD and Blu-ray in the United States, Rentrak reported Tuesday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the DVD and Blu-ray sales chart for the week ending Jan. 13 is "Dredd," followed by "Looper" at No. 3, "Ted" at No. 4 and "House at the End of the Street" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are "Pitch Perfect" at No. 6, "The Dark Knight Rises" at No. 7, "Total Recall" at No. 8, "Stolen" at No. 9 and "Resident Evil: Retribution" at No. 10.

The No. 1 DVD and Blu-ray rental for the week ended Jan. 12 is "Looper."

"Ted" is No. 2, "The Bourne Legacy" is No. 3, "The Dark Knight Rises" is No. 4, "Total Recall" is No. 5, "Trouble with the Curve" is No. 6, "Ice Age: Continental Drift" is No. 7, "The Watch" is No. 8, "Dredd" is No. 9 and "Men in Black 3" is No. 10.
