'Ted' tops DVD sales chart for a third week

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- The R-rated stuffed bear comedy "Ted" is the top-selling DVD in the United States for a third week, Rentrak announced Monday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the DVD and Blu-ray sales chart for the week ending Dec. 30 is "The Dark Knight Rises," followed by "Pitch Perfect" at No. 3, "Resident Evil: Retribution" at No. 4 and "Total Recall" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are "Brave" at No. 6, "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days" at No. 7, "The Bourne Legacy" at No. 8, "The Dark Knight Trilogy" at No. 9 and "Ice Age: Continental Drift" at No. 10.

The No. 1 DVD and Blu-ray rental for the week ended Dec. 29 is "The Dark Knight Rises."

"Total Recall" is No. 2, "Trouble with the Curve" is No. 3, "The Watch" is No. 4, "Men in Black 3" is No. 5, "Resident Evil: Retribution" is No. 6, "Premium Rush" is No. 7, "Savages" is No. 8, "Lawless" is No. 9 and "Hope Springs" is No. 10.
