
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- "Argo," "Beasts of the Southern Wild" and "Django Unchained" are among the Producers Guild of America's nominees for Best Picture of 2012.
The producing teams of the films will compete with those behind "Les Miserables," "Life of Pi," "Lincoln," "Moonrise Kingdom," "Silver Linings Playbook," "Skyfall" and "Zero Dark Thirty" for the top feature honor.
Up for Best Animated Picture are the producing teams of "Brave," "Frankenweenie," "ParaNorman" and "Wreck-It Ralph."
Shortlisted for Best TV Movie or Miniseries are the producers of "American Horror Story," "The Dust Bowl," "Game Change," "Hatfields & McCoys" and "Sherlock."
Winners will be announced Jan. 26 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.
This year, the guild will also present special honors to Bob and Harvey Weinstein; Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner; J.J. Abrams; Russell Simmons; and the documentary "Bully."
