'Hobbit' is No. 1 film in North America for a third week

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" is the No. 1 movie in North America for a third week, raking in $32.9 million this week, receipts show.

Coming in at No. 2 at the U.S. and Canadian box office is "Django Unchained" with $30.68 million, followed by "Les Miserables" at No. 3 with $28 million, "Parental Guidance" at No. 4 with $14.8 million and "Jack Reacher" at No. 5 with $14 million, Box Office Mojo said.

Rounding out the top tier are "This is 40" at No. 6 with $13.18 million, "Lincoln" at No. 7 with $7.5 million, "The Guilt Trip" at No. 8 with $6.7 million,

"Monsters, Inc. [3D]" at No. 9 with $6.36 million and "Rise of the Guardians" at No. 10 with $4.9 million.
