LONDON, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Film star Ewan McGregor and fashion designer Stella McCartney have made Queen Elizabeth II's list of Order of the British Empire honorees.

"I'm delighted and touched to be on the New Year's Honors List," McGregor, star of "The Impossible" and "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen," told The Mirror newspaper.

McCartney is a second-generation member of her family to earn the distinction of the order of chivalry. Her father, rock 'n' roll icon Paul McCartney, also was honored by the monarch.

Also presented with OBE titles this year are singer-songwriter Kate Bush, illustrator Quentin Blake and actor Adrian Lester.
