Raunchy teddy bear comedy 'Ted' tops DVD sales chart

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 25 (UPI) -- "Ted," an R-rated comedy about a man whose best friend is a stuffed bear, is the top-selling DVD in the United States, Rentrak reported.

Coming in at No. 2 on the DVD and Blu-ray sales chart for the week ended Dec. 16 is "The Dark Knight Rises," followed by "The Bourne Legacy" at No. 3, "Ice Age: Continental Drift" at No. 4 and "Brave" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are "The Dark Knight Trilogy" at No. 6, "The Avengers" at No. 7, "Men in Black 3" at No. 8, "Finding Nemo" at No. 9 and "The Amazing Spider-Man" at No. 10.

"Men in Black 3" was the No. 1 DVD rental for the week ended Dec. 15.

"The Watch" was No. 2, "Hope Springs" was No. 3, "Lawless" was No. 4, "Savages" was No. 5, "The Expendables 2" was No. 6, "The Campaign" was No. 7, "The Amazing Spider-Man" was No. 8, "Brave" was No. 9 and "Ted" was No. 10.
