'Dark Knight Rises' tops DVD sales chart

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- "The Dark Knight Rises," the final installment of director Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, is the top-selling DVD in the United States, Rentrak said.

Coming in at No. 2 on the DVD and Blu-ray sales roster for the week ending Dec. 9 is "The Dark Knight Trilogy," followed by "Brave" at No. 3, "Finding Nemo" at No. 4 and "Men in Black 3" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" at No. 6, "The Avengers" at No. 7,

"ParaNorman" at No. 8, "The Expendables 2" at No. 9 and "The Amazing Spider-Man" at No. 10.

The No. 1 DVD and Blu-ray rental for the week ended Dec. 8 is "Men in Black 3."

"The Expendables 2" is No. 2, "Lawless" is No. 3, "Hope Springs" is No. 4, "Brave" is No. 5,

"The Campaign" is No. 6, "The Amazing Spider-Man" is No. 7, "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" is No. 8, "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" is No. 9 and "The Dark Knight Rises" is No. 10.
