NEW YORK, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Samantha Morton and Michael Shannon will star in the New York-set psychological thriller "The Harvest," Elephant Eye Films announced Wednesday.
The movie -- which questions the lengths parents will go to, to protect their only child -- will co-star Charlie Tahan, Natasha Calis, Leslie Lyles and Meadow Williams.
The film will shoot in Palisades and Brooklyn, New York, through January.
"'The Harvest' is one of the best scripts I have read since 'Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer,'" director John McNaughton said in a statement.
"Having a genre master like John McNaughton directing two of the most gifted and bold actors of our time [Morton and Shannon] could not be more of a perfect combination for our film. After five years of trying to get this project off the ground, we feel very fortunate to have this creative team in place," said producer Kim Jose of Elephant Eye Films.
