MUMBAI, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala has confirmed she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and plans to undergo surgery soon in the United States.
"Dear friends, thank you for all your wishes. I am in good place and in good hands. With all your love and prayers I am sure I'll recover. It was shocking to know, but then life is full of surprises," the 42-year-old actress wrote in a Facebook posting this week, the BBC said.
The Nepal-born film star has appeared in numerous Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam movies, such as "Saudagar," "Bhoot Returns" and "Ek Chhoti Si Love Story."
