Hounsou and Simmons split up

NEW YORK, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Djimon Hounsou's publicist says the Beninese-American actor has ended his long-term romance with Kimora Lee Simmons.

"Djimon Hounsou and Kimora Lee Simmons have officially separated after 5 1/2 years," the actor's representative told People.com Wednesday.

"Though never married, they have one child together, Kenzo Lee Hounsou, who is 3 1/2 years old."

Hounsou has appeared in the films "Blood Diamond," "In America" and "Amistad."

Simmons is the president and creative director for JustFab, a fashion styling and retail service.
