'End of Watch' No. 1 at box office

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- "End of Watch" squeaked by "House at the End of the Street" and "Trouble with the Curve" to top the North American box office this weekend.

Estimates reported Sunday showed the films in a virtual three-way tie with the movies each earning about $13 million, but Box Office Mojo said actual receipts released Monday showed "End of Watch" earned $13.15 million.

"House at the End of the Street" raked in $12.3 million for the No. 2 spot, while "Trouble with the Curve" came in at No. 3 with $12.2 million.

"Finding Nemo 3D" is No. 4 with $9.6 million, "Resident Evil: Retribution" is No. 5 with $6.7 million, "Dredd" is No. 6 with $6.3 million, "The Master" is No. 7 with $5 million, "The Possession" is No. 8 with $2.6 million, "Lawless" is No. 9 with $2.321 million and "ParaNorman" is No. 10 with $2.297 million.
