'Hunger Games' tops DVD sales chart

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- The young-adult survival story "The Hunger Games" is the top-selling DVD and Blu-ray in the United States, Rentrak said Thursday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the sales chart for the week ending Sept. 9 is "Battleship," followed by "The Walking Dead: The Complete Second Season" at No. 3, "Sons of Anarchy: Season Four" at No. 4 and "Safe" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are "Think Like a Man" at No. 6, "The Lucky One" at No. 7, "The Five-Year Engagement" at No. 8, "Dr. Seuss' the Lorax" at No. 9 and "Fringe: The Complete Fourth Season" at No. 10.

The No. 1 DVD and Blu-ray rental for the week ended Sept. 8 is "Battleship."

"The Hunger Games" is No. 2, "Safe" is No. 3, "The Five-Year Engagement" is No. 4, "The Lucky One" is No. 5, "The Dictator" is No. 6, "Think Like a Man" is No. 7, "Dr. Seuss' the Lorax" is No. 8, "The Pirates! Band of Misfits" is No. 9 and "Bernie" is No. 10.
