LOS ANGELES, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- A public wake and private funeral will be held for film actor Michael Clarke Duncan in Los Angeles next week, his family said.

The star of "The Green Mile" and "Armageddon" died Monday, nearly two months after suffering a heart attack. He was 54.

The Los Angeles Times said a public viewing of his casket is scheduled for Sunday at the Hall of Liberty at Forest Lawn Memorial Parks and Mortuaries in the Hollywood Hills.

An invitation-only service will be held Monday at an undisclosed location, the Times said.

Duncan is survived by his mother, Jean; sister, Judith; and fiancee, reality television personality Omarosa Manigault.
