'Hunger' tops DVD sales, rental charts

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 29 (UPI) -- The young-adult survival picture "The Hunger Games" is the top-selling DVD and No. 1 rental in the United States, Rentrak reported.

Coming in at No. 2 on the DVD and Blu-ray sales roster for the week ending Aug. 19 is "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax," followed by "Dexter: The Sixth Season" at No. 3, "Glee: The Complete Third Season" at No. 4 and "Jaws" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are "The Raid: Redemption" at No. 6, "Hatfields & McCoys" at No. 7, "Community: The Complete Third Season" at No. 8, "Grimm: Season One" at No. 9 and "Wrath of the Titans" at No. 10.

The No. 2 DVD and Blu-ray rental for the week ended Aug. 18 is "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax."

"Lockout" is No. 3, "American Reunion" is No. 4, "Silent House" is No. 5, "The Three Stooges" is No. 6, "21 Jump Street" is No. 7, "Get the Gringo" is No. 8, "Friends with Kids" is No. 9 and "Dexter: The Sixth Season" is No. 10.
