Douglas, Danner star in oral cancer PSAs

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- U.S. film stars Michael Douglas and Blythe Danner have signed on to appear in a public-service campaign for The Oral Cancer Foundation, organizers said.

Douglas recently completed successful treatment for advanced oral cancer, while Danner lost her husband to the disease.

"Both Michael Douglas and Blythe Danner chose to work with the foundation in the hopes that their PSAs will promote early discovery of this disease through screening to reduce treatment issues and save lives," the foundation said Monday in a release promoting its latest ad campaign.
