'Sherlock Holmes' tops DVD sales chart

LOS ANGELES, June 21 (UPI) -- "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" is the top-selling DVD in the United States, Rentrak reported Thursday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the DVD and Blu-ray sales chart for the week ending June 17 is "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance," followed by "Safe House" at No. 3, "Act of Valor" at No. 4 and "John Carter" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are "Tyler Perry's Good Deeds" at No. 6, "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" at No. 7, "True Blood: The Complete Fourth Season" at No. 8, "Tyler Perry's Aunt Bam's Place" at No. 9 and "Game of Thrones: The Complete First Season" at No. 10.

"Safe House" is the No. 1 DVD and Blu-ray rental for the week ended June 16.

"Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" is No. 2, "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" is No. 3, "Man on a Ledge" is No. 4, "This Means War" is No. 5, "Act of Valor" is No. 6, "John Carter" is No. 7, "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" is No. 8, "The Grey" is No. 9 and "Gone" is No. 10.
