'John Carter' tops U.S. DVD sales chart

LOS ANGELES, June 14 (UPI) -- The action flick "John Carter" is the top-selling DVD and Blu-ray in the United States, Rentrak said Thursday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the DVD and Blu-ray sales chart for the week ending June 10 is "Safe House," followed by "Act of Valor" at No. 3, "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" at No. 4 and "True Blood: The Complete Fourth Season" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are "Red Tails" at No. 6, "Breaking Bad: The Complete Fourth Season" at No. 7, "The Secret World of Arrietty" at No. 8, "This Means War" at No. 9 and "The Grey" at No. 10.

The No. 1 DVD rental for the week ended June 9 is "Safe House."

"Act of Valor" is No. 2, "Man on a Ledge" is No. 3, "This Means War" is No. 4, "The Grey" is No. 5, "John Carter" is No. 6, "Chronicle" is No. 7, "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" is No. 8, "Red Tails" is No. 9 and "Gone" is No. 10.
