Gerard Butler tees up new action movie

HOLLYWOOD, March 17 (UPI) -- Gerard Butler says he is developing a new action movie about a terrorist threat to the White House.

Butler, who starred in "300" and "The Bounty Hunter," said through his agency he has signed on for "Olympus Has Fallen," which centers on a Secret Service agent foiling a terror plot against 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

The Hollywood Reporter said Butler will be looking to reverse some recent box-office disappointments with the project, which is being written by Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt and will be filmed by Millennium Studios.
