'Lorax' again tops U.S. box office

LOS ANGELES, March 11 (UPI) -- "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax," with the voice of Danny DeVito, took the No. 1 spot at the U.S. box office for the second week in a row with $39.1 million in receipts.

The swashbuckling fantasy film "John Carter," featuring Taylor Kitsch, was second with more than $30.6 million.

All studio estimates of gross U.S. box office receipts are via Box Office Mojo.

"Project X" was third with $11.55 million; "Silent House" fourth with $7.01 million; "Act of Valor" fifth with $7 million; "A Thousand Words" sixth with $6.35 million; "Safe House" seventh with $5 million; "The Vow" eighth with $4 million; "This Means War" ninth with $3.75 million.

And "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" rounded out the top 10 with more than $3.68 million.
