Seth Rogen not an indie aficionado

HOLLYWOOD, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Actor Seth Rogen admits he doesn't know a lot about the independent film world even though he was the host of Saturday's Independent Spirit Awards.

Rogen said he thought the big-budget action flick "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" was the best movie of the year and even voted for it for an Academy Award despite its less-than-artsy creds.

"It got no love from the awards whatsoever, but I love that movie," he told People magazine. "It was great. I'm an Oscar voter and I voted for it."

"I watch a lot of movies, but I don't often seek out these little independent movies," he admitted. "I wait until they come out or until tons of people tell me they're good because I'm too busy seeing Mission Impossible."

Rogen hosts the Spirit Awards on IFC while still basking in the glory of the award he always wanted, the Stoner of the Year honor from High Times magazine.

"I've won it twice," he noted.
