HOLLYWOOD, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Terrence Howard said he can't find work because of his estranged wife's abuse allegations against him.

"I am gravely concerned that her actions have had an incredibly negative effect on my career and my ability to obtain future work as an actor," Terrence said in divorce documents obtained by TMZ.

The documents revealed Michelle Howard accused Terrence of smacking and slugging her in the face, chipping her tooth with his wedding band and threatening to throw her off a balcony. Terrence denied the allegations.

Terrence's agent submitted paperwork showing his client hasn't received any "suitable offers" since Michelle's allegations and that he made $60,000 for his last job in September, TMZ reported Saturday.
