NEW YORK, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage insists he is not a vampire, despite the claims of the seller of an 1860s photo of a man who looks a lot like him.
The image made headlines last year when it was sold on eBay by a man who speculated Cage is a "walking undead/vampire" who "reinvents himself once every 75 years."
"I don't drink blood, and last time I looked in the mirror, I had a reflection," Cage told host David Letterman on Thursday night's edition of "Late Show."
"Let me say that there is a resemblance," Cage said. "But how can I be polite about this. It's a somewhat slowed-down version of me."
Cage is best known for his work in "Peggy Sue Got Married," "Moonstruck," "Leaving Las Vegas," "Gone in 60 Seconds," the "National Treasure" movies and "The Sorcerer's Apprentice."
