BANGKOK, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Actor Ryan Gosling says he isn't concerned about not being nominated for an Academy Award and has been keeping busy training as a Thai boxer.

Gosling has been putting in 2-3 hours per day learning Muay Thai boxing for his upcoming movie "Only God Forgives."

Gosling told The Hollywood Reporter he always loved visiting Bangkok and was immersed in his work with director Nicolas Winding Refn.

"Ever since I came here I've been dreaming about making a film in Bangkok," he said. "I'm happy to be here."

Gosling might have been hard at work in Hollywood getting polished up for Oscar night, but his acclaimed performances in "Drive" and "Ides of March" failed to generate a coveted nomination.

But when asked if he was disappointed at the snub, Gosling simply told THR, "No."
